☕ Science Café – An authentic dialogue about ethics, science, and vocation in medical research

On the afternoon of May 24, 2025, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. data-end="383">special edition of the Science Café, attended by numerous students, young researchers, and teaching staff, in a warm, informal, and inspirational setting.

The two guests, both outstanding figures in medicine and scientific research, offered an in-depth look at the ethics, passion, and challenges behind authentic scientific writing.

🎤 Prof. Dr. Traian Mihăescu shared his vast experience gained over more than four decades of medical and editorial work, recalling key moments such as his collaboration with the British Medical Journal team and the organization of the first scientific writing workshops in Romania. His message about training residents in the spirit of scientific honesty resonated strongly with the audience.

🎤 Associate Professor Tudor Toma concluded the dialogue with current reflections on the role of new technologies, critical thinking, and ethics in medical research, offering practical examples and real challenges from his work in Romania and the United Kingdom.

💬 An open dialogue, without barriers

🌟 The Science Café was not just an event,

but rather an exercise in reflection and authenticity. There was talk of science without slides, values without formalism, and writing without fear—a rare and necessary space in the training of new generations of researchers.
