Practical guide to writing an academic paper

  • Post category:Activity

On April 29, 2025, as part of the Ad Augusta program, master's students had the opportunity to participate in an interactive and extremely valuable seminar dedicated to writing a correct and effective academic paper, especially a dissertation.

Evenimentul a fost susținut de Prof. univ. dr. Rus Mihaela and Lector univ. dr. Tăsente Tănase, care au oferit o prezentare clară, bine structurată și adaptată nevoilor reale ale studenților din ciclul de masterat.

What have we learned?

The seminar aimed to familiarize participants with the essential steps of the academic writing process:

  • Choosing and defining the topic

  • Establishing research objectives and hypotheses

  • Clear structure of the paper (introduction, chapters, conclusions, bibliography)

  • Academic rules for citation and paraphrasing

  • Avoiding plagiarism and using scientifically validated sources

In addition, several useful digital tools for organizing and efficiently writing the paper were presented:

  • 🧠 Google Scholar, ResearchGate – pentru documentare științifică

  • 📚 Zotero, Mendeley – for automatic citation management

The seminar stood out for its clarity, practical applicability, and direct interaction with students, who received answers to specific questions and advice tailored to their current stage of development.

Special thanks!

We sincerely thank Prof. Rus and Lecturer Tăsente Tănase for their professionalism, openness, and for the way in which they managed to transform a complex subject into a practical and accessible guide.
