GOALS

General objective of the project

Theoretical and applied development of high academic standard services from a wide range of horizontal and vertical interventions: guidance and counseling in research careers, operationalization of a set of modern educational programs – focused on science for society, and promoting Romanian research results at regional, national, and international levels (digital information and communication sources enable interactions that can take project results beyond regional/national borders).

The activities will be carried out with the South-East Regional Center for Research Career Guidance as the main driving force and will be boosted by the creation and development of its own section within the ERA TALENT PLATFORM portal. The Southeast Regional Center for Research Career Guidance will be established within the Ovidius University of Constanța, constituting a distinct and integral part of its organizational structure. The center will be part of the national network of eight regional centers for research career guidance, which will become a single point of entry for research careers.

The main objectives are: Improving support services for researchers, including those from abroad, who are or will be involved in RDI activities in host institutions in the South-East Development Region of Romania; Increasing interest in research careers among young people – pupils, students, doctoral students, postdoctoral students – in the South-East Region; Promoting the results of Romanian research in the South-East Development Region; Stimulating cooperation between regional career guidance centers and the European EURAXESS/ ERA TALENT PLATFORM on operational/strategic issues and exchanges of good practices, with a view to creating the conditions for long-term growth in the quality of services offered within the regional center and the long-term functioning of the network of regional research career guidance centers.

Ovidius University of Constanța will participate in the project with at least 7 doctoral study programs, at least 29 master's study programs, at least 33 fields of study, and at least 54 bachelor's degree programs/specializations.

Specific objectives of the project

The Southeast Regional Center for Research Career Guidance aims to successfully accomplish the following goals:

OS1

Establishing, operationalizing, and developing the Southeast Regional Center for Research Career Guidance within the national network of career guidance centers as part of the ERA TALENT PLATFORM.

OS2

Providing high-quality guidance and counseling services in
research career, educational programs focused on science for society, promotion of Romanian research and the research profession in the South-East Development Region, so that at least 95%
of the center's beneficiaries will declare themselves satisfied with the quality of the services provided

OS3

At least 220 researchers will benefit from the services of the career guidance center.

OS4

Design and expansion of the dedicated section of the ERA TALENT PLATFORM ROMANIA online portal.
